MOn And Me 2

NZ in a Box

Who are we?

Hey, my name is Monica(right) and I’m 29 years old. I have a history in freight, logistics and customer service. I am currently studying mental health and I love to help people where I can. My passion is to make a difference in peoples lives and NZ in a Box was a perfect opportunity as it can help in many ways such as gaining memory and educating all ages of places, animals and learning a new language.

I took on this business with my sister as I thought it would be a great way to be able to work on something together and grow as siblings as well as to help people learn new things and most of all to have some fun!

I look forward to working with you all!

I’m Caitlyn(left), and I’m one of the new owners of NZ in a Box.

I don’t come with decades of experience or a fancy resumé– just a genuine love for learning, a growing business brain (thanks uni), and a deep belief that learning is for everyone, to do everywhere.

In 2024 I worked as a teacher aide and saw how powerful it is when learning becomes something playful, visual, and shared. That stuck with me, it’s what I want to bring into NZ in a Box.

These cards aren’t just memory games. They’re tiny portals into Aotearoa – into our land, our animals, our language. I want to grow them into tools that help families connect, learn, and laugh together, without it ever feeling like “schoolwork.”

And I’m still learning too – about business, about people, about what it means to make something that matters. But I know this, learning belongs on kitchen tables, in backpacks, in road trips. It belongs in a box, ready to be played with.

We thank Maria for creating NZ in a Box, for putting in place a foundation that nurtures our desire to make education fun and inclusive.
